My hubby Jim Strong is also my illustrator, so we decided to spend our anniversary at the Oregon Christian Writer's Conference signing books.

We also got to cheer for Ashberry Lane publishers Christina Tarabochia and (her mother) Sherrie Ashcraft as they won The Cascade Award for their book On the Threshhold. I met them at this conference back in 2006. I met my amazing agent Alice Crider at the same conference in 2010. And here we all our celelbrating the release of The Water Fight Professional in 2014.

I had no idea what to expect when writing this book eight years ago, but it's been a great experience. And I believe the best is still yet to come!
