Can't Get Enough Pink Books
Here are some of my old favorite books. Now you have a chance to nominate your favorite books of 2019 to become my new favorite books in the Angel Awards.
Best Heroine: Sweet Caroline by Rachel Hauck
This novel is funny, which might be why it caught me unawares and made me bawl and bawl and bawl even after I finished. I love Caroline because she's both spunky and compassionate. She's both fearful and brave. She has great chemistry with the hero, but she also sets a boundary many women can learn from.
Best Hero: Splitting Harriet by Tamara Leigh
I loved the motorcycle-riding Maddox even before I fell for my Harley-loving husband. He lives by grace, not by judgement, and he helps Harriet forgive herself for not being the perfect pastor's daughter.
Best Kiss: All's Fair in Love and Cupcakes by Betsy St. Amant
You know that if Lucas has to hang onto a doorknob from keep himself going too far, then the kiss HAS to be good.
Best Banter: Falling for You by Becky Wade
Corbin asks to speak privately to Willow, not because he has anything specific to say, he just likes talking to her. Most memorable "huh" I've ever read.
Best Spiritual Message: Kissing Adrien by Siri Mitchell
My mom read this one too and called it provocative. Not because of the kissing-there's actually not much of that. But because Claire learns people can be good people even if they don't agree with her definition of good.
Best Side Characters: A Bride in the Bargain by Deeanne Gist
I couldn't keep from laughing at the side character whose dentures were stolen by a seagull when their ship docked in Seattle. Especially when the hero has to get married to keep his land, and this side character is the only one available to wed.
Read them for yourselves, and nominate new books for me to read!!!
