New Book Contract and Giveaway
I signed my latest book contract at the Seattle airport for a reason.
The reason is that it's a two-book deal for flight attendant romcoms. And these flight attendant characters are based in Seattle!
The timing turned out perfectly as I was working a trip through Seattle when the contract arrived in my inbox. I asked the other flight attendant on the trip to take a picture of me digitally signing the document on our layover. We then returned to the airplane where she announced this to our captain who announced it over the PA to all our passengers.
"Working first class, we have Angela. Ask her about her latest book contract. She's a published author."
After flying back to Seattle for the night, we took a shuttle to our hotel, where the captain then pointed out this sign...
I'd been having such a wonderful day that the moment felt fortuitous. I was going to get to meet other authors and talk about books!
But alas. The coordinator was not interested in having her conference crashed by a flight attendant. And to be honest, flight attendants probably shouldn't be known for crashing. But I did make some friends with other writers in the lobby, so that was cool.
Anyway, over the next year, I'll be offering monthly giveaways through my newsletter for fun finds I pick up when working trips.
I picked up the above book bag in Virginia with the idea of making it my first giveaway after this announcement, but I couldn't wait. I gave the bag away last week.
It all worked out though. Since my series is based in Seattle, and since I signed the contract in Seattle, my first official giveaway of flight attendant finds should come from Seattle, don't you think?
I really love this city. From attending Mariners games with my son who works for them as a cameraman, to riding scooters around the Space Needle, to taking a ferry out to an island for wine tasting, to drinking coffee from the original Starbucks, to chasing waterfalls, it has a lot to offer.
Join me on my adventures and for your chance to win my flight attendant finds by signing up to receive the newsletter here. (It also gets you a free download of my novel The Princess and the P.I.)
What does Seattle make you think of? And what would you want to win from the area?
When I think of Seattle, I think of the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, and going to Mt. Ranier
I think of a certain Crashpad that had some really cool people! You were one of them! I remember being disappointed that I received Seattle out of training but once I got there I saw how many fun things there was to do, I wanted to discover them all. The first week I was there I took the light rail to 2 concertts, solo! Seattle embraced me with open arms and I felt the love! 🥰
My one and only trip was New Year’s Eve and we ate dinner at a restaurant so we could see the fireworks shoot out of the Space Needle! That was so cool
Bookstores! But when I was a kid we would go downtown and spend the day in used bookstores. I loved it!
Coffee from Seattle is fabulous
